Jill at Work:
Equine: Pez
Pez was a 13 year old Appaloosa mare who had suddenly starting exhibiting uncharacteristically surly behavior. Her owner was concerned Pez might be in pain. She was checked out and found to be in perfect health. I discovered that the cartilaginous material that comprises the poll was strained, creating a restriction in the tissue (called fascia) surrounding the skull. By manipulating the fascia, the poll was freed to move into alignment.

Equine: Lindy
Lindy, an Arabian mare developed uveitis in her left eye.Complications ensued and the eye needed to be removed.
During her first session with me, she allowed me to work on the side where she had recently had surgery. I was amazed at her level of trust.

Myofascial Release is a type of therapy concerned with the three layers of fascial tissue within the body. Fascia is located directly under the skin and envelops the body like a body stocking. You can travel from the poll to the tail and never leave the fascia. An injury, the traumas of daily life, exercise, performing are just a few factors that can cause restrictions in the fascia. Left untreated, these restrictions build up and result in ill-health. Myofascial Release is effective in increasing a horse's health and performance.
